Favorite Movie

My better half and I got on the topic of favorite movies a couple of times this weekend. We both threw some titles out there. We quickly came to the conclusion that there isn’t just one. Some were consensus, some not so much. The conversation started with what our favorite movie was. There can only be a list.

So…I’ll start with my top 25, I mean 35…looks like it’s 50. This is not in any order, because I can’t even rank them in my mind. Let me know if you disagree, if I’ve missed any, etc. We’ll debate.

  2. Well first off let’s get this out of the way. Your are 100% correct about the goonies. I can’t begin to talk to someone if they haven’t watched the goonies. Some of these I’ve never heard of. Most of Joann’s list I don’t know. The ones I did know are fabulous movies. Ghost , pretty woman and dirty dancing! ( nobody puts baby in a corner). I’m gonna add some more dirty humor the mix and say “ jay and silent bob strike back” and “ clerks 2” are so funny in the dumb way but I can’t imagine not ever seeing those movies.

  3. Hmmm, I think I could get it down to 15 – going from recent memory to more distant, La La Land, Call Me By Your Name, American Hustle, Slumdog Millionaire, The Queen, Brokeback Mountain, Erin Brockovich, Forrest Gump, The Crying Game, The Silence of the Lambs, Field of Dreams, A Room with a View, Ordinary People, Risky Business, Chariots of Fire. And the jury is out on Rocketman. Thought it was brilliant, but need to see it again and see if it holds up. I’ve liked plenty more, but to make the favorites, I’ve got to want to sit through it many times…
